Krewe of Choctaw
Non-Parade Riding Membership Summary
You will become a non-parade riding Krewe of Choctaw member following dues payment of $100.00.
As a non-parade riding member of the Krewe of Choctaw, you will be invited to attend the following Krewe functions:
- Krewe meetings (no charge)
- Coronation of Chief & Princess Choctaw (ticket Purchase required)
- Halfway to Mardi Gras Party (no charge)
- Choctaw Pow-Wow (ball) (ticket purchase required)
- Choctaw Day Party (no charge)
- Choctaw River Parade on Creole Queen (ticket purchase required)
- Fund raising activities during the year such as Golf Tournament, Gretna Fest, Food Sales, Bunco Party, Cornhole Tournament, Raffle Sales, etc.
You will be allowed and welcomed to attend or participate in all Krewe functions of the Krewe of Choctaw except for riding on a float on Choctaw Street Parade Day.
Volunteering for our functions is always encouraged and welcomed.
For any functions that require tickets, you must purchase a ticket to be allowed to enter and/or participate.
You must conduct yourself appropriately and provide respect for your fellow Krewe members or risk being removed from the Krewe without refund.
Items that you cannot participate in:
- You will be unable to hold any official Choctaw position
- You will hold no voting rights for any Choctaw voting function
- You will be unable to challenge decisions made by the Board of Directors
